'Vaa..ji Vaa..ji Sivaji - This song has already been shot at the Ramoji Rao Film City at Hyderabad with sets, reportedly costing Rs. 2.75 crores.

The crew of the movie is under strict orders to not divulge any information about the film, its story or about the events on the sets. Still, some local magazines managed to get some pictures of the sets. This had angered the director and AVM so much that the director is now planning to completely ban the use of camera-phones on the sets.

Aishwarya Rai, Ayesha Takia and Rani Mukherjee were considered and even approached for the role of the leading lady of the film but all flatly refused because they felt the role they would be given would be insufficient and would possible threaten future film offers.

Names of many popular actresses, including Sadha, Manisha Koirala and Shilpa Shetty were considered for making the item number in the film. But, finally, Bollywood's sex bomb, Mallika Sherawat, is reportedly selected to make a very special appearance in the song sequence.

The dubbing rights of this movie were sold to producer N.V. Prasad for a price of Rs. 10 crores.

Rajinikanth sings a song in this movie, his second attempt at playback singing, after his song in the Movie Mannan.

This is the eighth film that composer A.R. Rahman is working with director Shankar.

Mohan Lal, Amitabh Bachchan and even Sathyaraj were called on to do the villain role which was later taken by Suman of Thee fame.

This is the third time costume designer Manish Malhotra is working with director Shankar.
