Rajinikanth is the highest paid actor in India

In Asia the highest paid actor is the Jackie Chan and in India, Super Star Rajini is being paid very high and he stands after Jackie. His salary is around Rs. 20 crores according to sources. When we take a look at others in Tamil industry Kamal commands up to Rs. 7crores, actor Vijay gets upto 4 crores, Ajith gets nearly 3.5 crores and so on. However Rajini's upcoming movie Sivaji, which is being produced under AVM banner, is even bigger than Chandramukhi. Surprisingly, he has not spoken about his payment to the producer yet. However AVM Saravanan has said that Rajini has received only Rs.1500 for his role . The major portion of the film has been completed and music director of Sivaji, A.R. Rahman, has already completed four out of five songs.
