'Shivaji' rights sold??? !

All the pre-release curiosity that 'Shivaji' created made many wonder if it would end up having a negative impact on the film's performance. But even if it does, it wouldn't affect the producer, AVM now.

It is rumored that SUN TV network, a very popular Tamil satellite TV channel, has bought the entire rights of 'Shivaji' for a record Rs 90 crores! This is the highest price ever for an Indian film! If the rumors are true, then Sun TV gets the broadcast rights of the film, its songs, clips, audio, video distribution rights, overseas rights and remake rights.

Recently, Rakesh Roshan made headlines when, even before its release, he recovered Rs 15 Crores, which is half the money that he had spent on 'Krissh', the film starring Hritik Roshan.

But, Rajinikanth, Shankar and AVM have sold their film for a massive profit even before they completed the film!
